Like that?
Can you see very far on the road with them, or are they purely for looks?

Halogen headlights are great! They burn bright white rather then the yellowish tint of normal lights. If you watch your rear view mirror at night you will notice cars that have them installed as they appear very white. These come standard on expensive cars like BMW, Lexus, etc. .
They are very expensive, however and they come in many different brightnesses. (The higher the lum, brightness, the more they start to turn blue. ) Be cautious of laws in your state as there is a maximum allowed so if you buy them too bright you could be fined. When you have them installed you will love them as everything white, like lines in the road and road signs will be much more evident. The high cost is restrictive, however, and may not be worth the extra money, so use common sense.
The blue halo is just for looks. As for can you see father, it depends on the bulb behind the lens. If its an HID(hi intensity discharge) bulb then yes you can see farther. HID bulbs provide three times the light output of standard halogen bulbs. HID lighting produces a crisp white light that reflects off of the paint in road markers and signs better also. As for projector headlight they are a type of headlight that produces a stronger beam compared to most parabolic headlights. Projector headlights focus light in a tighter pattern, that enables the light to stay together over a longer distance letting you see farther. But you have to be carfull when buys HID light systems there are alot of fakes out there. Hope this helps. One more thing, true HID systems will usually consist of the bulbs and some kind of ballast since HID bulbs require more power then your typical 12volt electrical system found in most cars.
