I bought a optoma HD20 projector and the bottom is perfectly straight along with the sides but the top has a small U bend in it. It is very minor and i would say the center is half a centimeter lower then the sides. Is this normal or should I return the projector? The wall is even (I know because i turned the projector upsidown to make sure it was the projector), Thanks!

Try lowering the image on the wall. You will probably find a place where top and bottom are equally bowed. If you raise the picture it may get worse.
