Not going to happen. Should probably invest in a better projector.

A simple adapter with D-sub VGA on one end and RCA composite video on the other will not work, nor will anything that you splice from cables you already have.

There are VGA to composite/S-video transcoder boxes available. But composite video can only carry a 480i signal, which would be equivalent to 640×480 computer resolution, actually probably blurrier than it would appear on even a low-end monitor; remember, in the days when the composite video signal was developed, a 25 inch TV was considered enormous, most TVs were about 9 inches, and video projectors were unheard of. As such, most people can’t justify the cost of buying these boxes.

Avoid “cheap” projectors if possible. Stick to better-known brands, and I’d suggest you get one that has at least 1024×768 resolution if you plan on using it with a computer. Be warned: many lower-end projectors may use misleading advertising, they may say “Supports up to 1600×1200 resolution” or “Supports 1080p” but actually have a display resolution of only 640×480 or 800×600; these projectors can INPUT those higher resolutions, but it scales them down to a lower resolution.
