yes. you can buy this s video connection but it is a poor picture. if you have a digital t. v. with an hdmi connection, you can buy a usb graphics adapter and a dvi to hdmi cable and get a crisp, clear picture. there is also another connection with 14 or 15 pin male connector on the computer that you can buy the cable for this, too, but like s video, it is a poor picture. the adapter is the best way to go. you will use the usb on the computer
TVS do not have any video output for you to connect the projector and have video. If you have an old VHS it has a tv tuner than can pick up tv signal and then connect an S-Video to it and the other end to the projector. Projectors are only to project a picture and has no audio either. You are not going to get an HDTV type signal on this projector and you VHS. Hope this will help you out.
You can get a cheap cable box with s-video out, or a vcr with s-video out, but you will still have to worry with sound. In any event, for the quality of picture you’re going to get, it isn’t worth it. It’s like buying coffee cans do you can have metal to patch rust holes in your car. Sooo not worth the effort.
All you need is a tuner. Here is an example of one.
