That is a whole lotta fans! You could have avoided that by using a portable ohp, the lamp goes in the top and reflects off the bottom via a mirror, this way the fresnel end stays nice and cool, no fans required!
@MrBn4u the screen is lifted a few milimeters from the actual ohp stage so the fans are blowing over both front and back of the screen which seems to keep it pretty cool.
@porche3r as described previously the screen is 1280×720. It is capable of doing 720p so it is technically HD. If you are talking about true HD (1080i/p) then it is not. But when buying a tv, projector etc. anything from 720p up is classed as HD.
If you guys wanna see how to make a home made PROJECTOR with just a box and a magnifying glass, click on my channel/username. I am also doing a double IPOD touch GIVEAWAY and I have information/a video about THE NEW IPAD (iPad 2/iPad HD)
@teamwindsor sorry for that comment. it was out of the line, just thinkin isn´t it better to cool downside of the screen? have been thinking to build my own project.
I have a homemade projector and used it for years, 1000watt high pressure sodium bulbs and a 15″ display inside. . But you know what I bought a Infocus LP650 and it BLOWS these homemade jobbies away!
Its 2500 lumens and I cant watch it in broad daylight. (not outside during the day but inside with the shades open still)
just make sure the only light comming out of the projector itself or in the room is the projector lense area front (covering the top with cardboard and eleminting light sources bleeding into the room from the machine and elsewhere). a light tight room should help vastly with the image. just a thought.
I’m gonna build one once I can find an overhead projector
@tebanano part of it is the camera, but for £60 what do you expect?
the vignette is horrible

@teamwindsor ah ok. . . I thought that were meant to do less hours, so it’s good 2000. . .

@Tommyavi the lamps are £1. 75 each, I bought about 5 initially and am still on my first one. They are meant to do about 2,000 hours.
@chrisbadenhorst11 Thanks! it has VGA and component.

@teamwindsor is the tft HD no so the projector isnt HD
