@cjsawesome1 Hell yeah! I finally get to play ME 2 using my DIY OHP. A bit dark, but it was awesome seeing Shepard kicking ass, that huge on the wall! Building the DIY was really fun though.

@MrVariable063 I was literally JUST playing Mass Effect 2 on a. . . . . big fancy projector. But it was’t mine, and I wanted my own. I looked this up- and guess what! somebody else with the same idea!

could someone do this with a newer LCD TV/monitor? I have a Element HDTV 19″.
i’m asking because i’d like to hook up a vcr (and other things, like video games) in which case older monitors don’t have the ports.

  20. MrBlueeagle69 says:

That’s awesome. I take it the fan helps to keep the screen cool.

  21. cliffhanger525 says:

Why didnt i think of that. . . . Wonderfully Simple if a bit bulky :)

  22. boredozzy says:

@Pilotbrate6435 im pretty sure you can, all your doing is getting the screen out off its case, all the wiring is still there.

  23. xxRazorJadexx says:

@timguyperson Maybe I’m mistaken, but from what I can tell if you have a projector and an overhead projector that are the same lumens, the projector will be monstrously more expensive than the overhead. I think this does save money, especially if you already have the parts.

  24. timguyperson says:

@GoblinSlasher Haha yeah, only worth trying out if you already have all those parts laying around. How’s your new projector going? I’m thinking of just getting a cheap one off ebay. Was yours a cheapo one?

  25. GoblinSlasher says:

@timguyperson lol exactly, i was like “fuck this” and i bought a projector new lol.
