I would like to be able to watch a movie on the beach with a projector/dvd playe combo I plan on buying. Can the Xantrex Powerpack 600HD provide enough power for a 2 hour movie or will it run out. I’ve heard of people powering small tv’s for up to 5 hours with it.
It depends on the projector.
It has a 28AH battery, which at 12V, produces 336 watt-hours. That means your projector/DVD will have to draw less than 170 watts to run two hours. Less conversion watts in the inverter, so maybe 150 watts for 2 hours. If you can run your projector/DVD directly from 12V, you can eliminate the inverter losses, but still are limited to 336 Watt-Hours use.
