best way to put up a shelf without putting holes in the wall?

Hey everyone,

I am living in some on campus apartment style dorms and therefore I can’t put holes in the wall for a shelf for a projector that I bought. I was just wondering what would be the best way to put up a shelf for the small projector that I have (weighs about 8 pounds I would say) without putting any holes in the wall or ruining the paint job.
